For Edie...

So Edie and I have never met in person, but she is someone I can say would be on my list of people I would give anything to be friends with. She is crafty, witty, fun, has great style, loves color, is not afraid of painting furniture, is a great mom, makes you want to jump into her blog every time she posts and give her a big ol hug, but my favorite quality about her is that she is faithful and isn't afraid to share her faith with all of us! I first started reading her blog back in January of 2009 when she re-did her laundry room (at the old house). I instantly loved that not only was she up to her eyeballs in black paint, but she had time to sew two mini skirts, make draperies, and run to Hobby Lobby or wherever to buy her 1/2 price "laundry" sign! Only a trooper could do that! She is a girl after my own heart with her posts about making rosettes, and having garage sales, and painting chalk board paint on a WHOLE wall in her house, and providing me with yummy recipes, and sharing how she is not PERFECT (but very nearly, in my book!) and overall, just being an outlet when I need one. So as you read this Edie, please know that you are adored and loved and this CA girl transplanted from the deep south of GA thanks you for so much inspiration ! Praying for you, but knowing that our Lord has a mighty plan and you will be well taken care of...Happy Birthday my "blogland" friend :)

Almost A New Year...

Well, its December 30th and 2009 is almost over. It has been quite a year for me. I am very excited to see what 2010 has in store though...hopefully great memories, rewarding experiences, and lots of family and friend time! So happy to have gotten in touch with my dad's side of the family via Facebook this Christmas, now maybe we can keep updated more often. Here's wishing everyone a safe, healthy and happy NEW YEAR!

Love,

I am a winner!

I guess that sounds really snobby, but what I mean is, I won the giveaway over on KP's (the talented Kelly Purkey's) blog! I am sooooo EXCITED! When I told my hubby (as he passed by my messy craft room), he say's "Great, more scrap crap to add to your piles of scrap crap!" LOL he just doesn't understand....hehe. Now I promised I would pay it forward, so I think I am going to clean out my stuff and donate some goodies to City of Hope. Hope everyone is enjoying their week! Thanks Kelly!

Big Brother11, Senior pictures, and Chinatown

So BB11 started last night...my fav time of the yr! I already like Lydia (tattoo girl), and Kevin but cannot stand Laura and Natalie! Comment and let me know who you like!

Today, I am doing the first of many things to come as the parent of a "Senior". Jasmine is taking her Senior pictures for the yearbook! I am really really sad that this chapter of my daughter's life is coming to a close. It is too soon! I remember being the youngest mom at the Kindergarten gate waiting to pick her up from the First Day of school :0(
Going to have a Girl's Day with my friends on Sunday, any restaurant suggestions in Chinatown (LA)????
